Ingredients:
- 1.5lb ground beef
- 1/2 c chopped onion
- 2tb butter
- 3tb flour
- 1tb Worcestershire sauce
- 1tsp salt
- 1tsp pepper
- 6oz tomato paste
- 1/2 c cheese
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
Method:
- Brown ground beef with the onion. Drain off fat and pour into a round casserole dish.
- Add remaining ingredients minus the mashed potatoes and mix to combine.
- Spread mashed potatoes over the top of the casserole.
- Bake 30 minutes at 325F.
These freeze well – reheat in the oven for about an hour. You can also make mini-shepherds pies in muffin tins for individual serving sizes.
