These were so good. So, so good. We made stars, but you can actually buy goldfish style cookie cutters to make your own copycat Goldfish crackers. I had used freshly ground white whole wheat – I would assume regular all purpose flour would work fine, too. These crackers were husband approved in my household – this coming from someone who likes to snack on Cheez-Its and Goldfish, too. Must have been good. 😉
Ingredients:
- 1-1/2 c cheddar, shredded
- 1/4c cold butter
- 1/2c whole wheat flour
- 1/4tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Method:
- Preheat oven to 350F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor and process until everything combines – this may take a couple of minutes.
- Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for about half an hour.
- Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface about 1/8 inch thick. Cut your shapes, dipping your cutter in flour between cutting the dough if necessary. Transfer dough to the cookie sheet.
- Bake until crackers just slightly brown around the edges – about 8-11 minutes.
